Funds by IOB: Postgraduate Qualifications - Closing Date Fast Approaching

Irish Funds has a long-standing partnership with Funds by IOB to provide a range of programmes aimed specifically at those working in the investment funds industry. IOB is a recognised college of University College Dublin (UCD).

The closing date is fast approaching for application to the Professional Diploma in Applied Alternative Investments, Professional Certificate in Designated Persons and Professional Certificate in Capital Markets, Investment and Funds programmes.

There will also be a Masterclass on Distribution Function within Fund Management Companies taking place three consecutive weeks from 26 September.

Professional Diploma in Applied Alternative Investments 

The Professional Diploma in Applied Alternative Investments provides a unique opportunity to gain a UCD post-graduate qualification in the area of applied alternative investments. It will advance your knowledge and understanding of valuation issues relevant to alternative investments, legal and regulatory considerations and long-term trends in the alternatives arena.

Students will study one module commencing in October 2023 followed by two modules commencing in January 2024, completing the programme in May 2024. IFS Skillnet funding is also available for the programme.

Professional Certificate in Capital Markets, Investments and Funds

The Professional Certificate in Capital Markets, Investments and Funds is designed to deepen your knowledge of the drivers of performance of capital markets and of capital market products, the settlement and trade life cycles, regulations, and the importance of risk management and operational robustness in the fund management sector The programme is targeted at the fund management industry, bringing together all the major areas of requisite knowledge required for portfolio and risk management processes within the funds and investment environment.

Masterclass – The Risk Functions within Irish Fund Management Companies

Following the successful running of the Distribution masterclasses in 2022, IOB are delighted to announce a further delivery of this short programme. The Distribution Functions within Irish Fund Management Companies will be delivered online once a week over three consecutive weeks from 4pm to 7pm, commencing on Tuesday, 26 September 2023 and then on Wednesday, 4 and Wednesday, 11 October 2023.
